These terms govern your use of CatchLog, a fishing catch and session logging app provided by Lewis Alford, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as “CatchLog”. When you use CatchLog you are contracting with Lewis Alford.
By creating an account or continuing to use CatchLog you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app. You confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and if you use CatchLog on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.
CatchLog lets you record fishing sessions, log catches with weights, baits, rigs and photos, track personal bests, view your own statistics, manage venues and share individual catch cards. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use CatchLog within the plan you have selected.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You must not:
You keep ownership of the catches, notes and photos you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to provide the service to you (including generating a share card when you choose to share a catch). You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload. If you believe content on CatchLog infringes your rights, email support@catch-log.com and we will investigate and remove infringing content; repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
We retain all ownership of CatchLog and its intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation and branding.
CatchLog is free to use for your first 3 catches. Logging further catches requires a CatchLog Pro subscription at £1.99 per month, billed monthly and renewing automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Billing screen in the app; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
We work to keep CatchLog available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change over time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. CatchLog is provided “as is”.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination, you can request an export of your data within 30 days, after which we may delete it.
You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
