This Privacy Notice explains how Lewis Alford (trading as “CatchLog”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use the CatchLog app at catch-log.com. Lewis Alford is the data controller for this personal data.
We do not sell your personal data.
Some of our providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we rely on UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate additional safeguards.
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer for legal, tax or accounting reasons (typically six years for transaction records).
Under UK/EU data protection law you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact us at support@catch-log.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, row-level access controls so that only you can read your own catches and photos, and least-privilege access for administrators.
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences; these are required for the app to work. We also use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to understand overall usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but the app will not stay signed in without essential cookies.
